You should know who's behind the product you're buying. We'll always tell you who runs the business, where they're located, and how they work.
Food from small businesses we've personally checked — close to you, without searching for hours.
Hi, I'm Sapir
It was always important to me to know where my food comes from. I wanted to buy better — healthier, more local.
But I quickly discovered that it isn't accessible. To find truly good food, I had to search for hours — asking the right people, joining WhatsApp groups, searching on Google and Instagram.
And then it hit me: the problem isn't that there's no good food. The problem is that people don't know where to find it.
There are farmers selling fresh vegetables minutes from home. There's someone baking sourdough bread in the next neighborhood. There are small businesses with amazing products — that most people have never even heard of. So we keep buying at the supermarket — not because it's best, but because it's easiest.
And that's how Mehamakor was born. One place that gathers real, local, healthy food for you — close to home. Without searching for hours.

Founder of Mehamakor. Software engineer by trade, studying nutritional medicine.
The criteria — I write them from what I myself look for in food.
Good food — not something we keep to ourselves
The difference
You know exactly who's behind it
At the supermarket — a name on a package, if that
Close to you, arrives fresh
At the supermarket — who knows from where or when
Straight from whoever makes it
At the supermarket — just another item in the cart
Businesses from your area, with the shortest possible chain. Less distance, more freshness.
Every business is checked personally before it goes live. We ask, we look into things, and sometimes we even visit — before we say yes.
Every purchase directly supports people from the neighborhood — not a big chain, but a business owner from your area.
Our criteria
Not everything labeled "natural" is actually natural, and not everything labeled "local" is actually local. We know that. That's why we go through every business before they join — asking, looking into things, and sometimes visiting in person. Here's what matters to us:
You should know who's behind the product you're buying. We'll always tell you who runs the business, where they're located, and how they work.
We prefer businesses close to you, with the shortest possible chain — from the field to you.
Real ingredients you can recognize — no food coloring, no unnecessary preservatives, no artificial additives.
Clean preparation areas, proper storage, and compliance with the regulations relevant to the category. Some categories require a producer license in Israel, and we'll ask for it. No compromises here.
