Every seller listed on the platform bears sole responsibility for holding all licenses, approvals, and permits required by law, including (but not limited to): the Business Licensing Law (1968), public-health (food) regulations, Ministry of Health directives, and relevant kashrut and labeling provisions.
On registering as a business, the seller declares that she holds all required licenses for the products she sells and that she will keep them valid throughout her use of the platform. Mehamakor does not inspect, verify, or approve these licenses, and compliance responsibility lies solely with the seller.
Every business on Mehamakor goes through a manual acceptance review that includes a personal introduction: basic identity verification, getting to know the business's story, and a conversation with the people behind it. This review is not a regulatory inspection and does not guarantee the quality of the products, their standard, or the business's compliance with any law.
A business that presented us with an official licensing document or exemption approval, whose existence and validity we checked at the time of presentation, is marked with a “Verified” badge together with the date of the check. The check is limited to verifying the document presented, does not include ongoing monitoring with the authorities, and provides no guarantee that the document remained valid after the date of the check. The badge is provided free of charge.
A business operating in a category that is legally exempt from the licensing requirement is displayed on the site on the basis of a binding declaration it provided, stating that it operates lawfully. We do not verify this declaration with the authorities; responsibility for its accuracy and for keeping it up to date rests with the business alone.
A business shall indemnify the site operator for any damage, expense, or claim arising from a breach of its declaration, a breach of its obligations, or the provision of false information, without derogating from any other remedy.
Nothing in this section shall impose on the site operator an ongoing duty to supervise the businesses.
